Sara Amiri


Sara is from Casablanca, Morocco and has moved to the United States when she was 17 years old. She graduated in May 2011 with a Bachelor in Finance & Business Law and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is currently a candidate for an MBA in Finance and IT Management. While pursuing her bachelor degree, she has been very involved in co-curricular activities. She held different leadership positions, such as President of the International Student Association, and founder & President of the Muslim Student Association in Whitewater, Wisconsin. She worked for The Tranel Financial Group in Chicago after her graduation before returning to complete her MBA program in Wisconsin. She Co-Founded Peer2Connect LLC, a provider of social and academic software solutions for universities to meet the needs of their international students. Sara is currently working as a Financial/Business Analyst at Blackthorne Capital Management. Sara is responsible for updating and maintaining the AMCN website and server, as well as provide technical support when needed.

Fadoua Boualem

FadouaFaouda Boualem is software professional. Her current work focuses on interactions with software application customers and users as an Application Support/IT Business Analyst. Faouda is passionate about serving the American Moroccan community. Her involvement with AMCN is part of her continuous effort to bring her experience within different companies in Morocco and US to the betterment of the homeland. She holds a BS degree is in computer science and an MBA from Saint Thomas Aquinas College, NY.

Yazid Boutejdir

yazidAfter finishing his studies at the University of Washington with a BS in Informatics. Yazid started working for several startup companies in Seattle and Los Angeles as Network Engineer. Over a period of 12 years, Yazid gained an extensive knowledge in IT Infrastructure, SaaS (Software as a Service) IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service). Yazid is currently a Senior Solutions Engineer with Savvis a CenturyLink company where he architects data center solutions, private and pubic cloud infrastructure, CDN (Content Delivery Network), hybridization, IP acceleration and route optimization/intelligence. Yazid also collaborates closely with internal R&D/engineering teams regarding product enhancements and new technologies.

In addition to serving as a VP of ICT (Information Communication Technology) team at AMCN. Yazid is also involved in civic work at a local community level. He has served as a vice president of WAMA (Washington Moroccan Association) for four years (2006-2010) and is currently a board member. He is also a member of the solutions committee at United Way of King County in Seattle where he works with a team to evaluate programs presented by local non -profit organizations seeking funding from United Way to make a positive impact on minorities and low income community.

 Nadia Serhani-Eltobgi

serhaniMrs. Nadia Serhani-Eltobgi is an International Human Capital strategist and workplace investigator for a private company contracting to USAID, UKAID and AUSAID in addition to U.S Government agencies and other worldwide clients.

As an international Human Capital officer, she leads the HR global assignments and oversees the strategic and tactical implementation of the human and workforce aspect of over 30 projects in 30 countries worldwide covering most of Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Her area of responsibility falls within the International Health arena to include large-scale mobilization and deployment of US and foreign workforce to high priority regions such as epidemic areas, war zones, humanitarian emergencies and post-conflict zones in the world.

She is also a project lead for various HR initiatives to include systems design and process improvements based on the Lean Six Sigma and other methods, international HR scaling support and training, as well as the lead and trainer on workplace and hotline investigations.

Prior to joining her current employer, Abt Associates Inc, Mrs. Serhani worked for a large US government contractor as a Human Capital Principal and Employee Relations Officer. Her workplace investigation expertise includes close collaboration with Senior legal counsel to include case preparation and representation in court. In addition to that, she was in charge of issuing the official statements to investigating units and US government agencies’ inquiries. Mrs. Serhani has been credited for successfully conducting various country-wide and international fact-findings investigations in collaboration with various US government agencies such as The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), The Department of Defense Inspector General (DoD IG) office, as well as various military and Criminal Investigation Divisions while covering cases in Iraq and the Middle East.

Since 2004, Mrs. Serhani has owned and operated a small consulting company specializing in Business Start-up, Federal Compliance and Coaching, HR strategies and Management, targeting new, minority and migrant entrepreneurs. She is also a co-founder and the HR and Compliance Director of a small US Government contracting company in New Jersey since 2011.

Professionally, Mrs. Serhani is a member of the largest global HR advocacy organization, Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) where she also served and concluded her mandate as a Member of the Diversity Task Force. She is a member of the Human Resources Leadership Council and member of various HR international networking organizations.

Mrs. Serhani graduated from Morocco with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the International Institute of Tourism in Tangier, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Business and Psychology. She also holds a Professional Certification in Human Resources (PHR) from the SHRM organization.

Volunteer Work: Mrs. Serhani is the Secretary General of the American Moroccan Competencies Network (AMCN) since 2012. She is a founding member and current Secretary General of The Morocco Foundation since 2004 as well as the American Moroccan Legal Empowerment Network (AMLEN) since 2011. She is also an active member and manager of various LinkedIn Moroccan community groups worldwide. In 2007, she was nominated to serve as the sole member from the United States to the Council of Moroccans Living Abroad (CCME) created by Royal Dahir by his Majesty King Mohamed VI.

She is a contributor, fundraiser and volunteer for YatimHelp and other US-based welfare and literacy organizations, in addition to her active participation as a community activist for both election campaigns of Mr. Barak H Obama and other democratic campaigns in Northern Virginia.

Dr. Hassan Mousaid


Dr. Mousaid’s current work with Philips healthcare focuses on the architecture and the development of personal health records, personal emergency systems and Hospital to Home system initiatives.  Hassan was the architect of the first mobile health application created by Philips.  Hassan’s most current mHealth applications include 2together, a patient incident driven and a Care Partners Mobile application, a social health care application for caregivers.

Prior to joining Philips, Dr. Mousaid worked for Sony, IBM and CIBC introducing several web and mobile based applications in health care and financial sectors.

Dr. Mousaid Awards & Achievement include: Philips CEO Technical Innovation Award for architecting and launching an end-to-end Emergency Response service to the Japanese market and several scholarships and fellowships from US government agencies and companies such as Ford Motor Corporation and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Mousaid’s publications include: IBM Watson within the context of natural language systems [Artificial Intelligence], Towards a model transformation for a mobile application using a commercial modeling tool: Sparx Enterprise, Principles of Architecture: principles to live by when architecting anything,  Generating Domain-Specific Visual Language Editors from High-level Tool Specifications and Feature-based survey of model transformation approaches.

Dr. Mousaid is an Advisor to the American Moroccan Competencies Network (AMCN) and the founder of ePowerIdeas, a platform initiated by AMCN to promote research and entrepreneurship in emerging markets including North Africa.
